Tabernero Vineyards and Wineries were founded in 1897 in the valley of Chincha, Province of Ica, 200 Km south of Lima, the capital of Peru. Established by the Taboada family, Tabernero Vineyards and Wineries were founded in a valley with a tradition dating from the times of the viceroyalty when the first vine stocks were imported to Peru, which has a climate and very rich soil that are ideal for cultivating grapes. Around the 30’s, the company was purchased by the Rotondo family, with their long agricultural tradition and inherited technique for wine production as a result of their Italian descent. The growth of the company was constant and dynamic to the point that at its peak, the infrastructure had the latest technology in Peru. However, in the mid 60’s, a military government expropriated the lands of all Peruvians who were owners of agricultural businesses, laying waste to all the effort made and experience gained over the course of 70 years. Nowadays, Tabernero Vineyards and Wineries have more than 250 cultivated hectares, as well as winery with over 10,000m2, operating with the latest technology that ensure the quality of its processes and products. Tabernero Vineyards and Wineries is undoubtedly the most important winery of Peru with the latest infrastructure that enable the company to produce high quality wines and meet the requirements of the most demanding local and international markets such as USA, Sweden, Belgium, and Japan, producing over 85% of the Peruvian wine exported in 2004 and its export volume by over 100% since the year 2000
Pisco Acholado is the result of the distillation of Quebranta and Italia grapes.
Clear. Vibrantly fruity and floral stone fruit and lilac aromas. A silky, supple entry leads to a robust, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body of perfumed plum, muscat grape, sea salt, and raw honey flavors with a long, peppery and spicy hot fade. Very nice and richly flavorful.
