It was an overwhelming smell of fresh roasted almonds and creamy warm caramel. It still has the same taste as the nose but it is very well balanced between sweetness and alcohol. The finish coats your mouth and has a very long finish. In my opinion as a main stream brand di saronno is still holding it ground. Its taste blows away some Amarettos that are priced ten or fifteen dollars higher.
