Trimbach Riesling 2020
Its delicate bouquet, beautiful balance, dry character, distinguished fruitiness and natural liveliness contribute to its exceptional richness. As required by the house style, it is vinified dry, straight, and precise, every year.
Nose: Incredibly inviting, with aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, and honeysuckle. The flowers are delicate and not overpowering, while the citrus fruits are bright and refreshing. The honeysuckle adds a touch of sweetness and complexity.
Palate: The palate is where the wine really comes to life. Dry and refreshing, with flavors of lime, grapefruit, and minerality. The acidity is well-balanced, and the wine is not overly sweet. The minerality adds a touch of complexity.
Finish: long and refreshing, leaving you wanting more.
Pairing
This wine is incredibly versatile, and the pairing options are almost endless:
Chinese, Thai, Tex-Mex: this is a terrific choice for a BYOB. It’s subtle sweetness will work wonderfully with spicy chili dishes, will pair with virtually anything at a Korean BBQ joint, and can hold its own with any spicy Mexican dishes.
The wine's crisp acidity and fruitiness make it a great match for seafood dishes, such as: Oysters, Salmon, Shrimp, Crab, etc. If you’re having sushi, you have the perfect wine.
Also a great match for creamy cheeses, such as: Parmigiano, Pecorino or Brie.
92-Points James Suckling
Although this is packed with citrus, pear and white-peach aromas, it's so pure and straight that the simple description "fruity" would be far too one-sided to adequately describe what makes this wine stand out. So energetic that it feels much lighter than it really is (13% alcohol). Fine tannins at the finish underline the dry style.
Our Story
Maison Trimbach's viticultural origins date back to 1626, and since then, twelve generations of rigorous winemakers and Ambassadors devoted to the passion for Alsace wines have constantly distinguished themselves by the quality and authenticity of their wines, to patiently develop, from father to son, a solid reputation. The 13th generation joined the estate a few years ago.
There are 3 key words at Trimbach: "Balance, balance and balance". This is our philosophy of life and also the daily quest of our team in our vineyards and in our cellar.
