Ironside Reserve Pinot Noir 2022
This crowd-pleasing Pinot Noir is both full-bodied and fruit-forward, while maintaining an energetic freshness that pleases the palate. Take a sip and enjoy flavors of black cherries and plums on top of layers of earth and sweet
Nose: You can likely expect a fruit-forward aroma with notes of red cherry, raspberry, and possibly plum. Subtle undertones of spice, such as cinnamon or clove, and perhaps a hint of earthiness or forest floor.
Palate: Medium-bodied with good acidity. The fruit flavors from the nose will carry through, along with additional nuances of red currant and cranberry. Hints of vanilla and toasty oak round out this additional wine.
Finish: Clean and refreshing, with lingering flavors of red berries and a touch of spice. Long, lingering & refreshing.
Pairing
Roasted chicken or turkey: The wine's fruitiness complements the savory flavors of the bird.
Duck breast: The wine's fruit and spice notes pair well with the richness of duck.
Mushroom risotto: The wine's earthy undertones complement the richness of the risotto.
Roasted pork tenderloin with apple sauce: The wine's fruitiness complements the sweet and savory flavors.
Other Notes
Our Reserve Pinot Noir is sourced from top vineyard sites in California's central and northern coastal regions. These regions present ideal growing conditions, allowing the Pinot Noir grapes to slowly ripen to full maturity. Bright sunlight during the day develops beautiful fruit flavors, while cooling ocean breezes at night maintain freshness. This unique balance of sunshine and cooling also helps to develop nuanced flavors in the wine
