Cockburn's Description
Cockburn's Fine Ruby is a blend of young wines from various years, aged for three years in wood casks and bottled after filtration. With rich, full-bodied flavors of raspberry, plum and spice, it retains the red color and fruit flavor of youth, and is ready to drink when bottled, offering a rich, fruity, sweet taste. Fine Ruby pairs well with blue veined cheeses, rich chocolate desserts - especially with raspberry sauce - or simply squares of dark chocolate and toasted walnuts.

Laid-back, rather complex aromas of black raspberry, maple syrup and golden raisins seem midway between ruby and tawny. Smooth, nicely concentrated and rich; the maple syrup note repeats in the mouth but is complemented by fresh berry flavors. Finishes slightly fiery but long, with a suggestion of raisin.
