''The honey/amber/goldenrod hue is pretty and unblemished. The first inhalations detect distant scents of honey, baked bread, and corn meal; as with most liqueurs, aeration doesn't particularly alter the aromatic profile, except in this case to add a citrus note. The palate entry is pleasingly balanced and not the least cloying; at the midpalate stage, the flavor profile features integrated tastes of honey (natch), spice, and lemon zest. Finishes clean, balanced, and very enjoyable. The citrus element is what makes this liqueur recommendable because it's the citrus that counters the honey and the bourbon. Far better than the ghastly and clumsy previous incarnation.''
