Pickup/Delivery options
Aberlour 16yr has been matured in two cask types, Traditional Oak and the finest Sherry Casks. These casks are specially selected every year by the Master Distiller, Douglas Cruickshank, to be filled and aged in the Aberlour warehouses. This maturation ensures the dept of character as well as the distinctive fruitiness and spices of Aberlour.
Aberlour Description
Colour: A warm, golden amber.
Nose: Creamy with sweet raisin aromas and a spicy nuttiness.
Palate: A smooth blend of floral and spicy flavours, paired with a sweet plum fruitiness and gentle oakiness.
Finish: Gloriously long, with a warm, honeyed spiciness.
Wine Enthusiast
The bouquet is austere and leathery with curious aromas of beeswax, vegetable oil and oaky resin. Palate entry is focused on the resin; midpalate is splendidly multilayered and offers elements of black pepper, dried orange blossom, honeysuckle, dried fruit, sage, fennel and confections. Aftertaste is deep and unabashedly sweet and honeyed.
