Drink Recipes Mom Will Love


Teacher.  Chef.  Chauffeur.  Coach.  Cheerleader.  Doctor.  Counselor.  ATM.  Personal housekeeper.  Storyteller.  Party planner.  Babysitter.  Enthusiastic supporter of everything you’ve ever done and will do in your life.  What would you do without mom?  As you prepare to celebrate Mother’s Day, consider these drink recipes that are sure to put a smile on the face of the person who has always done whatever needed to be done to put a smile on your face.

Mimosa

Proof that brilliance is found in simplicity, the classic Mimosa is the perfect partner for Mother’s Day brunch or breakfast in bed… or both.

Ingredients

Instructions: In a chilled champagne glass, pour equal parts orange juice and champagne.

Mama’s Malibu Martini

Our friends at Malibu Rum bring you this cocktail recipe specifically created for moms.  Silky, smooth, rich and vibrant, Mama’s Malibu Martini is a creamy alternative to sparkling cocktails.

Ingredients Instructions: Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake well and serve in a martini glass. Garnish with chocolate.

Tea Tini

This lighter version of Long Island Iced Tea gives mom the sweetness that has always been her specialty.  Feel free to add a touch of berry, lavender, rosemary or chamomile.

Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 oz vodka
  • 1 oz sweet iced tea
  • 1/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • lemon wedge for garnish
Instructions: Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass rimmed with sugar. Garnish with the lemon wedge.

Korbel Royale

Raise your glass to mom with Korbel Royale, courtesy of our friends at Korbel. Refreshing Korbel infused with Chambord’s raspberry flavor will bring a sparkle to Mother’s Day.

Ingredients

Instructions: Pour Chambord to cover the bottom of flute.  Fill glass with Korbel.

Sunset Sangria

Another classic, this take on Sangria is perfect with dinner as the sun begins to descend.  The longer the fruit marinates, the better, so be sure to give nature plenty of time to do its magic.

Ingredients
  • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle rose wine
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup
  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 1 lime, sliced into rounds
  • 1 (6 ounce) container fresh raspberries
Instructions:  Combine wine, pineapple juice, vodka, triple sec and simple syrup in a large bowl or pitcher. Refrigerate for one hour.  Stir oranges, lemons, limes, and raspberries into the chilled sangria at least 30 minutes before serving over ice.
